How to fit GHD Power Cable
HOW TO FIT GHD POWER CABLE The cables are not difficult to replace however for obvious reasons it should only be done by a competant person. If you feel that you do not wish to change the part yourself – Please see our ghd repairs pages. Below is a quick guide on how to change the cable on ghds. If you have any difficulty please contact us anytime 1. Remove the ring at the cable end of the irons and slide it onto the cable. (Where applicable – some models dont have this ring) 2. Carefully removed the ghd circular caps that cover the hinge screw. 3. With 2 Philips screwdrivers, hold one one of the hinge screws and unscrew the other. 4. Remove the hinge pin. This just slides out. 5. Separate both halves of the ghds, and removed the 2 screws holding the connector cover in place, then remove the cover. 6. Pull the original cable out of its socket. 7. Pop the new cable in and rebuild your ghds in reverse order. Take care when pushing the connector back into the ghds, make sure the centre pin of the cable goes through the sprung terminals on the cable connector. 8. Finally remove the uk plug adaptor from the old cable by unscrewing the screw on it. Now fit the plug adaptor to the new cable. 9. Repeat all steps in reverse to reassemble your GHDs
